STIRLING ART CLUB
Stirling Art Club is one of the largest art clubs in Central Scotland with over one hundred members. Around twenty meetings are held over the winter period, on Friday evenings from October to March. During this time there are demonstrations, critiques and illustrated talks. In addition to meetings the membership fee (which is £30 annually at the present time) covers members for their entries into the annual exhibition. This annual exhibition and sale of members’ work is held at the beginning of August. It should be noted that there is no obligation for members to exhibit, but members are expected to volunteer a couple of hours of their time, during the exhibition, to help run it. The club also runs a members’ library at no additional cost. Each meeting has a short break during which tea, coffee and biscuits are provided at a minimal cost.
Meetings are held in the main hall of the Mayfield Community Centre, Sunnybank Road, St. Ninians, Stirling, FK7 0DB on Friday nights from 7.30pm till 9.30pm.
